God Shows No Partiality

Acts 10:34 – So Peter opened his mouth and said: “Truly I understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.

Peter proclaims strikingly to those listening God’s plan for the redemption and acceptance of all men, race, and nation. No one would be different but rather “all men being created equal will receive equal treatment from God because Jesus is the great mediator uniting all types of people. The Jews have rejected their chance and now it is the Gentiles turn. Now let me introspectively look at this verse. God shows no partiality but do I?

How do I treat people? Do I give favor to those who are similar to me?

I teach at a school where all kinds of kids come to learn. Teachers need to be careful of this because we must not have a teachers pet. I would say one of my goals this year is to reach out to those kids who are not as “loveable.” The ones who aren’t so popular and the ones who are just a “pain.”

Love comes easy to the ones who are easy to love but sometimes they aren’t the ones who need it the most.
