Philippians 1 was the chapter of study today. God willing, my Sunday School class with take-on this letter in six days. The theme of our identity seems to jump off the page. Our identity, according to chapter one, is an identity of slavery and sainthood. That is, we are God’s slaves and His “called-to-be-holy-unto-Him” ones. Let’s pray God helps us to see and understand our new identities. Let’s not settle for cultural or traditional Christianity. May God actually use me as His slave – wow, that was hard to write. What a reflection of how “not-slave” I am. John MacArthur’s book Slave is a great book on this topic.

Please continue to pray for me. My time and fellowship with God has still been too weak. Thanks.
