Philippians 1 (just like Bobby)

I am also reading Phil 1. Wow, how cool to see God has us in the same plc! What a book of gospel-encouragement.  My comment, however, has a slightly different focus. Paul prays “that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,”

Let’s go beyond, “Dear Jesus, please give Jordan a good day at school. And please help him financially.” We can pray like that sometimes, I suppose, but let’s really pray for each others souls!!! Let’s pray Biblically!

Nice post Bobby, PTL!

One response to Philippians 1 (just like Bobby)

  1.

That kind of Biblical praying really takes strong faith. When we pray for simple items it is easy to see if our prayers are answered or not but when we pray for more spiritual needs its more difficult to see obvious results. But I do believe praying that one may aboud in love and discernment and approve what is excellent is really the best way to pray Biblically.
