Faith

I had tweeted this a few days ago, but this is from Streams in the Desert. In response to a young man’s question of how to obtain the Lord’s help for his needs an elderly black lady firmly answered “You just have to believe He’s done it and it’s done”. Now there’s an simple and applicable definition of faith for ya.

Commit your way to the Lord, trust in Him and He will do this – Psalm 37:5

Yeah man! I love that verse in Psalm 37. I’ve turned to it frequently when I’ve felt anxious or stressed about situations of life.

I seriously need to commit my way everyday to Him. I tend to commit on Sunday’s or before I preach or when I just need His help with a trial but I often tend to act on my own when I “think” I do not need Him. Its got to be a daily thing.
